Section1- Product basic Information

Section2- Product name and description:

  • Product ID: Product Identification number or Id is the stock keeping unit (SKU) for an E-commerce business. It’s a product and service identification code for a store or product, often displayed as a machine-readable bar code that helps track the item for inventory. A stock keeping unit (SKU) does not need to be assigned to physical products in inventory.
  • Web Category: What is the product’s web category, such as Toys, Clothing or, Machinery etc. You have to pick one or 2.
  • Brand Name- A unique name given to the Product such as “Amazon Kindle” or Elexa
  • Product Title- Product Title or Product name is the one line phrase such as “ Amazon Kindle electronic book special edition”.
  • Short Description – under this, write the product quantity such as 1 Litre or 1 pound etc.
  • Product Description (100-125 words) Write the product main feature as Product description in a paragraph or if allowed in bullets form.
  • Features and Specification: Describe your product features in 3-5 bullets. Each bullet should not be more than 7-10 words.
  • Model Number ( if any).

Section3- Product specific attributes

  • Color
  • Color Family
  • Gender
  • Recommended Variants
  • Size
  • Product type ( organic or inorganic)
  • Franchise ( if any)
  • Ingredients ( if any)

Section4- Shipping dimension- individual product

  • Give the shipping dimension of the individual product, for example, if you are selling any machinery, do mention, it’s shipping dimensions after it is assembled or, if you are selling two different products together, make sure to mention the dimensions of each item. Selecting a unit such as inches or centimetres or pound or Kgs for any item depends on the marketplace requirements

Section 7:  Images

Images should be of great quality, you can use your smartphones or hire a professional photographer to create your product images portfolio Images should be in PNG/ JPEG format. Each image should not be more than 2000 x 2000 Pixels.

Special Note:  The details mentioned above are the customer-facing basic information. However, when you create your product order form on your E-commerce marketplace or a product form on your ecom store you have to create information tags according to the product type. For example for an electronic item, adding a warranty is a must. For health and beauty products such as shampoo or cosmetics, the date of expiry is required.
